NEMEA
In the village of Ancient Nemea was the sanctuary of Zeus, one of the most important temples of the Greeks. Took place there and the athletic competitions held as part of the cycle of feasts in honor of Zeus in ancient times.
The Nemean Games, along with the Olympia, Isthmian and Pythian Games were the greatest sporting contests in Ancient Greece. The duration a sacred truce stops all hostilities between the Greek cities.
